Revelation 21-22: coward

There’s the Tree of Life. But we also have a Water of Life. And it’s for “all who are victorious”.

“Coward’s fate is the lake of fire”. Which is interesting, because cowardice is listed next to things like unbelievers, corrupt, murderers, immoral, idolator, witches, and liars. God sentences cowardice the same.

Cowardice as in “not acknowledging Jesus before others”? For Jesus said “those who don’t acknowledge me before others, I won’t acknowledge them before my Father.”

Or does it also includes acts of faithlessness? Like if God were to ask us to do something that seems impossible, and we backed out.

Is the new Jerusalem the wife of the Lamb, or is it the people in the city?

The leaves of trees of life are used for medicine to heal the nations. Why is there need for healing in Heaven?

In ch 22:15 “outside are the dogs – the sorcerers, immoral, murders, idolators, liars (to be specific “all who love to live a lie”). Compared to the list above, this list seems to be missing ‘coward, unbelievers, and the corrupt’. And it shed some lights on what “liar” means. And the word “dog” either is what God uses to describe such people or it’s another type of person on the list. NASB and KJV both says “the dogs and the sorcerers… ” And “loves and practices lying”. Does “dog” equate “coward”?

If those people are in the lake of fire <- 2nd death, how can they be outside of the city? Well, of course, they’re outside in the lake of fire. As if it’s not possible to be ‘outside and not be in the lake of fire

Coward: after praying, maybe, just maybe that we shouldn’t “run away” from the trouble this city and country is facing. But stay put and fight.
