How Money Are You?  Part 3

“You’ve been a friend with a girl you like.  How do you know if a girl likes you?”

A wise man said to me, “What you do, Leon, is to take her to a REALLY BORING park, and all you do is the walk the park and chat.  If the girl is not interested in you, she’d start to bitch and complain pretty soon and want to go home.  But if the girl is interested in you, then you can walk the park for few hours and she’ll still have a good time with you.”    (btw: Do you girls think it’s a good idea?)

I remembered what he said as I pondered on this money issue.  Let’s assume the girl’s productive rate is $20 per hour, she can get $20 worth of Enjoyment doing something else.  And now, she’s having fun walking a boring park with you for 3 hours.  That means you’re worth more than 3 x $20 = $60 to her.  YOU ARE MONEY, and she’s profiting.

What hurts your pride would be if you’ve treated someone as a $1000 king, and after months, you find out that he only sees you as a  $20 “friend”.  “Let’s just be friends.”  = “You’re only $20.”
