Green Slime’s Game Review:  Indigo Prophecy.

Score:  9.5/10
Guys.  That game is a great game.  It’s available on PS2 and PC.
I’ve always believe that video game is the ultimate form of art, which combines picture, music, and story all together.  Movie is also like that.  Yet with video game’s Interactivity, it has brought that beautiful combination to the next level.
In
this game, you control a guy who, under some kind of spell, just
murdered a man in the restroom in a restuarent   After the
murder, you come to your sense and is like “Crap!  What just
happened?!  What do I need to do?”  So you can have the
option of getting rid of the murder weapon, washing your hands, mopping
the bloody floor, etc. As you’re doing all that, the screen split into
2, with the new screen showing a cop, who’s done eating in the
restaurent, coming to use the restroom.  You need to get out of
there quickly and without rising much suspicion.  Everything you
do in the game effects the outcome and the flow of the game/story.
I
had a very interesting idea for a fighting game before.  And I’m
quite shocked to see that they use the idea for their action
sequence.  It makes the fight like watching a kick butt action
movie like Matrix.  Very impressive.
I’m also very
impressed by their technology.  The characters have good facial
expression and amazing amount of animation, all LOADED in the
PS2?  I  have no idea how they did it, but great job, guys.
They
develop the characters really well too, so that you can easily attach
to all the characters including the cops.  You not only play as
the murdered, you also play the cops who’s solving this murder
case.  The trick to develop this attachment is:  you play events that’re relating to their personal lives.
Why
9.5 rather than a 10?  My sister and I have crashed the game a
couple of times on PS2.  Oh well, at least we can start from our
last save point, which is not a big deal because the auto-saving
interval is always pretty short.

We rented the game, but I’m buying it now for its greatness.

  1. The game sounds really interesting. And you can play it multiple times, making different choices to see what happens. The way the game changes based on the player’s decisions kind of reminds me of the dream game.Nice schpeal about the whole video game as an ultimate form of art idea. I bet it will sound good at an interview.Happy New Year!P.S. Interesting fact: Hogmanay is the name they give in Scotland to New Year’s Eve. The kids sing and ask for presents and treats. Don’t you feel smarter now? 😉 igs
